AFMS Classroom Modernization Phase IV/ BLDG 247

Department of Army
Mission & Installation Command (MICC)

The Army Force Management School (AFMS) is the Army’s centralized educational institution which provides Force Management education and training to both soldiers and civilians. This requirement supports Phase IV of the Army’s modernization plan for the facility and will allow for video-processing and collaboration to take place across the four major classrooms within AFMS.

Phase IV will also allow for the installation of the NIPR video-teleconferencing capability within classroom 1406 that will be used in conjunction with the Learning Content Management System (LCMS) Blackboard. This enables the AFMS to project education and training anywhere in the world and further enhance the development of the Distance Education (DE) program.

Construction included upgrade of the AV and sound system as well as renovation improvements in the lobby. These improvements included student kitchens, counters, lighting and flooring.
